The problem

A neighbour's boat came in too fast. The damage was cosmetic, but left alone it lets water into the laminate.

Done in the berth, no lift-out needed. The photographs also went to the owner’s insurer with our invoice.

Work done

  • Damage assessed and photographed for the insurer
  • Cracked gelcoat ground back to sound laminate
  • Filled, faired and sanded
  • Gelcoat colour matched and sprayed
  • Polished to blend with the surrounding hull
