Deck sanded and recaulked
- Boat

Before & after
AFTER — sanded deck, new caulking
BEFORE — grey, lifted teak seams
Drag to compare · both frames shot from the same position
The problem
The teak deck was grey, the caulking had lifted along most seams, and water was getting under the planks.
We measured the deck thickness first. At [x mm — confirm] there was enough left to sand once more, so recaulking made sense. If it had been thinner we would have recommended a different route and said so.
Work done
- Old caulking cut out along every seam
- Seams cleaned, taped and primed
- New caulking applied and left to cure
- Whole deck sanded flat and cleaned
- Plugs replaced where fastenings had lifted
- Daily photographs sent to the owner
