DC system rewired on a [10 m motor boat]
- Boat
- [10 m motor]
- Where
- [Marina, Malta]
- Duration
- [One week]
- Owner
- [Abroad]
Before & after
AFTER — new panel, labelled circuits, tidy runs
BEFORE — tangled wiring behind the old panel
Drag to compare · both frames shot from the same position
The problem
Intermittent electrical faults and a panel that nobody could read.
The faults turned out to be corroded crimps and undersized cable. A wiring diagram now lives on board, which any future technician will thank you for.
Work done
- Every circuit traced and documented
- Old wiring removed
- New tinned cable runs with proper fusing
- New switch panel with labels
- Battery bank secured and ventilated
- Wiring diagram left on board and sent to the owner
